The story:

This dates back probably 35 odd years ago, with my Uncle Mick who bought the Speed Twin rode it messed with it (Superb engineer) and then sold it to my Uncle Tim who rode it and passed it on to my Dad for £      .

We are now 30 Yrs ago when my Dad decided to strip the bike (I was 7 Yrs Old) and restore it, since then he has moved around about 5 or 6 times and the boxes of bits moved with us, he did actually have new rims and re-spoked but that was such a long time ago that they are rusted now.

He also had some work done to the gearbox, but that was it the intentions were always there to rebuild it but he never got around to it. He even tried to sell it as my Mum was always saying for him to get rid if it. My Mum received a call one day from someone asking about the Speed Twin advertised in the paper and she told him it was a mistake and subsequently questioned my Father phoned us up and we put Dad straight, HE WILL NEVER SELL IT we said. He didn't, he passed away on January 3rd 2000 with a brain Tumour (very unsuspected) and I had always said I would do the Triumph if he ever wanted me too.

This brings us up to date and the reason for this site.....
